Sheet Metal Sheering
Shearing is a fabricating process that is used to cut straight lines in sheet and plate material. The process allows for material to be cut into shorter lengths than a conventional cut-to-length line.
The shearing process involves two blades being forced past each other (one is typically stationary) to cut the material accurately and precisely.
At Metalwest we can shear various thicknesses and widths in select locations depending on the customer’s needs. We have the capability to shear carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel flat-rolled material.
